I found this a truly mixed mag. There were a few meh stories and one I really hated halfway through — about how pathetic a guy whose kid has died is and the losers in a pub who laugh at him. The story is structured from a different point of view but that's what I got from it. So I put the book aside for a month. It was either that or put it in the recycling. There were some almost-great stories, too, that made it worthwhile.
