Loved reading this while in Australia. Bought it at Pulp Fiction in Brisbane, which is a fab fab fab store.This entry in the series isn't as pulpy and page-turnery as the previous one. In part because, really: how much can happen when you're just flying over the whole of Australia? (Well, quite a lot. I'm never even close to bored reading these books.) Loved seeing the bunyips and thought we were going to get some other Australian creatures but it was just more dragons. The big change from our world in these books, dragons, have sped up all change in the world of the books so China's economy here is somewhat akin to the way it is in the 21st century: growing very fast which some huge strengths and some weaknesses.
