Black Heart (Curse Workers)

Black Heart - Holly Black Wow, thought I'd review this. First, read White Cat. Then, read Red Glove. Now, go read Black Heart. (Holly's Black Heart or Holly Black's Black Heart is one of my fave book descriptions.) This is where it all comes together in this series: the big government immigration/magic workers story; the crime families; the love story. Cassel knows his family is messed up but his girlfriend's family are much more so. Cassel twists and turns until he makes himself enough space to find an out from an impossible situation. I love these books. I love that Holly took on politics and basically invented another genre: paranoirmal (ouch!) YA or something. Can't wait for the TV series.
